Best is to fly into Tokyo. Tokyo Haneda Airport is theoretically more convenient than Narita Airport, especially if you are in a rush, simply because Haneda is closer to the Izu Peninsula, which lies south of Japan’s capital city. From Tokyo, you need to take a train to reach the start or finish venue, subject to your accommodation arrangements.
Please note that Avid Adventures is English-speaking and offer great packages for international runners to take the hassle out of the trip.
