Borneo Ultra Trail Marathon (MAS)

The 2026 edition takes place on 11/12 April

Introduction

Often called the ‘little sister’ of TMBT in September, but a fantastic event in itself on different trails. BUTM has already established itself as a genuine early season classic in Sabah. Both the 100 km and the 50 km offer ATM Championship points. The 100 of course also provides a point to finishers and their Grandmaster Quest.

Taking place in Kiulu, temperatures and humidity tend to be slightly higher here than in the higher-altitude TMBT event. Be aware and come prepared.

The mandatory gear requirements are very serious and for good reason, so make sure you read up on all the competition and gear regulations.
